1. Traffic Safety Training Certification
Before obtaining a vehicle permit, students must complete the Traffic Safety Training Certification.
There are two types of certification:
A. Certification Required Every Academic Year
The following methods are valid only for the current academic year. Students must complete the certification again in the next academic year.
You may complete the current academic year's certification by completing any one of the following:
- Watch the current academic year's Traffic Safety Training video on the Moodle course information system and pass the Traffic Safety Training quiz on Moodle.
- Attend a Traffic Safety Training session held periodically by the Student Security and Assistance Center and pass the Traffic Safety Training quiz on Moodle.
- Attend the Traffic Safety Lecture for new students held during the September orientation and pass the Traffic Safety Training quiz on Moodle.
- Confirmed to enroll in the university's general education course Traffic Regulations and Traffic Safety during the current academic year.
After completing any of the above requirements, please allow 1–3 working days for the system to update your information.
You may log in to the system to check whether your training status has been updated to Certified.
B. Certification That Is Valid for All Future Academic Years
If you complete any one of the following, you do not need to complete the Traffic Safety Training Certification again every academic year:
- Pass the university's general education course Traffic Regulations and Traffic Safety.
- Complete the Ministry of Transportation's Post-License Road Safety Training or Pre-License Road Training.
For information about the Ministry of Transportation's training programs, please visit: https://tmv.thb.gov.tw/cp.aspx?n=12278
After completing the training program, please bring proof of participation to the Student Security and Assistance Center for certification. You may provide any of the following documents as proof:
- A receipt issued by the driving school.
- Other documents that clearly prove that you participated in the training, such as:
- A photo showing your participation in the training
- A student or participant list
- A certificate of completion
- Other supporting documents
If you do not have any proof of participation, you may request a Road Safety Training Participation Certificate from the Student Security and Assistance Center.
Take the certificate to the driving school where you completed the training and have it stamped by the school. Then return the certificate to the Student Security and Assistance Center for certification.
After the staff confirms that the documents are valid, they will manually update your training status in the system to Certified.
2. Apply for a Vehicle Permit
A new application is required every academic year.
Log in to the School Information System(SSO) and select: Left Menu → I01 Student Vehicle Management → Vehicle Permit Application → Add New
Enter your vehicle information and upload clear and readable photos of the following documents for review:
- Your driver's license
- Vehicle registration certificate
- Compulsory automobile liability insurance certificate

3. Pay the Vehicle Management Fee
The vehicle management fee must be paid again every academic year.
After completing the vehicle permit application and uploading all required documents, you may pay the fee by either of the following methods.
Online Payment
After your documents have been reviewed, normally within 1–3 working days, the system will automatically send a notification to your student email address, regardless of whether your application is approved or rejected.
After the application status shows Approved, the online payment link will appear on the Vehicle Permit Application page.
After completing the payment, please check the system and make sure that the payment status shows Paid. This means that your payment has been successfully completed.
Payment Machine
You may also pay the fee at the automatic payment machines located at:
- 1st Floor, Library
- 1st Floor, Administration Building
After making the payment, bring the payment receipt to the Student Security and Assistance Center. A staff member will verify the receipt and manually update your payment status in the system to Paid.
When using the payment machine, please select: Student Car/Motorcycle Vehicle Management Fee
Vehicle Management Fee
| Vehicle Type | Full Academic Year Payment by Jan. 31 |
Half Academic Year Payment from Feb. 1 |
|---|---|---|
| Motorcycle | NT$300 | NT$150 |
| Car | NT$700 | NT$350 |
Replacement / Reissue Fee
The payment item “Student Car/Motorcycle Vehicle Permit Replacement/Reissue” is only for students who have already completed the application and payment during the same academic year, but need a new permit because:
- They changed their vehicle; or
- Their original vehicle permit was lost.
This replacement/reissue option cannot be used for a new academic year.
The vehicle permit is valid until September 30 of the following academic year. At the beginning of a new academic year, students must submit a new application and pay the vehicle management fee again.
4. Pick Up the Vehicle Permit and Activate Vehicle Access
Go to:
School Information System(SSO) → I01 Student Vehicle Management → Vehicle Permit Application
The system will automatically check the following three conditions:
- Application Status: Approved
- Payment Status: Paid
- Traffic Safety Training Status: Certified
When all three conditions are met, the system will automatically activate your vehicle access.
The system will display the date when your vehicle access becomes active in the Effective Date field. The vehicle access is valid until September 30 of the following academic year.
Both motorcycles and cars use license plate recognition to enter and leave campus. Therefore, from the effective date, you may enter and leave campus using your registered license plate.
